Tahir Ali MP is the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Hall Green.

Tahir was elected in December 2019.

He is a member of a number of All-Party Parliamentary Groups, including Kashmir, Palestine, Pakistan and Bangladesh. He is also a member of the Socialist Campaign Group of Labour MPs.

Mr. Ali has previously worked for Royal Mail after securing an engineering apprenticeship at age 17. He is an active trade unionist and served as a political officer for the Communication Workers Union. He is also a member of Unite.
